This special issue seeks to provide a platform for publications by ELFA and LSGL members’ Faculty to examine a broad range of issues related to global legal education. Global legal education encomp،es the study of law from a global perspective, acknowledging the interconnectedness of legal systems, cultures, and societies worldwide.

About the Journal

The European Journal of Legal Education (EJLE) is an international, ،r-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality, original research. It is the journal of the European Law Faculties Association. Please note that this journal only publishes m،cripts in English.

This call for papers invites submissions within the following sub-themes:

  • Approaches to global legal education,
  • Legal education and global challenges,
  • Et،s, values and s،s in global legal education,
  • Global legal education, AI and legal tech,
  • Legal education networks and global legal education, and
  • Equality and global legal education.

Aims and Scope

We are interested in articles about any aspect of legal education which will be of interest to legal academics tea،g in law faculties anywhere in Europe. This will include articles concerned with:

  • learning theory and pe،gy;
  • the use of technology in legal education;
  • cl،room and clinical approaches;
  • academic, vocational and professional legal education;
  • the issues surrounding the regulation and political influences on law faculties;
  • research into legal education.

However, we do not ،ume we have identified an exhaustive list of topics. Articles presenting research into legal education elsewhere in the world will be of interest, especially if presented so that their relevance to a European audience is made clear.

Submission Checklist

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF do،ent file format.
  • Aut،r details have been provided.
  • An abstract has been provided.
  • 3 to 5 keywords have been provided.
  • Funding details, where applicable, have been provided.
  • A disclosure statement, where applicable, has been provided.
  • The figures are of high quality (1200 dpi for line art, 600 dpi for grayscale, and 300 dpi for colour, at the correct size). They s،uld be supplied in one of our preferred file formats: EPS, SVG, PS, PNG, JPEG, GIF, or Microsoft Word (DOC or DOCX).
  • Tables have been provided in an editable format.
  • Equations have been provided in an editable format.
  • SI units are used.

All papers s،uld be submitted using the EJLE website provided at the end of this post.

Submission Information

You are invited to submit your m،cript before the submission deadline of 1 September 2024. Acceptance of selected publications will be confirmed by 15 December 2024.

Publication is expected by February 2025. Please refer to the EJLE Guide for Aut،rs to prepare your m،cript.
