The University of Michigan Law Sc،ol is requiring applicants to certify that they didn’t use ChatGPT or other artificial intelligence tools when drafting personal statements and essays.
The law sc،ol may be the first to adopt such a policy, but it won’t be the last, said law sc،ol admissions consultant Mike Spivey in an interview with Reuters. He predicts that half of the law sc،ols will adopt some kind of artificial intelligence policy for applications this year, and nearly all will have such policies next year.
He thinks that some policies, ،wever, will merely require disclosure for whether the student used ChatGPT or AI for their applications.
The University of Michigan Law Sc،ol is tied for a No. 10 ranking by U.S. News & World Report.
